Social Media Experts: Ruining Social Media Strategy?Posted on: February 21, 2012 by admin By Mischa Truong-Tran Social Media Expert / Social Media Strategist Buildatribe.com - Social Media Training of St. Louis, MO As part of my social media marketing consulting work not long ago, I was preparing social media campaigns and social media strategies for a customer who nearly made a costly error. Fortunately, it was simple to avoid and I want to make sure you don’t get snared by the same trap. Before I let you know what it was, I want you to consider the answers to a few easy questions. How do you feel about commercials you see on television? Why? I don't like commercials. It drives me crazy when products get shoved in my face and it interferes with what I want to do. My dislike for commercials is so strong that I don't watch much live television anymore. I prefer to record the programs...

Video Marketing, Viral Marketing and Social Media For BusinessPosted on: February 11, 2012 by admin By Mischa Truong-Tran Social Media Expert / Social Media Strategist - St. Louis, MO Do you recall what it was like to be a music fan before the arrival of music videos? If you grew up after MTV was launched or can't recall what it was like when all they did was play music videos, then I challenge you to imagine what it was like for those of us who are a bit older. We had few choices available. We had the option to purchase a band’s record, hear their songs on the radio or read what others said about them in magazines. Today, we have the opportunity to view band interviews, viral marketing videos and concert footage and all we have to do...

What are you trying accomplish? What is your objective? Have you put much thought into it? If not, you should. I’m visiting with individuals every day about things like social media marketing, online marketing, video marketing, email marketing and even text message marketing. It’s enjoyable and exciting. I get answers like “I just need to be on the web” or “I need to have a place that tells people about my company” all the time. If you think the conversation should be focused on how pretty your site is and what...
