Nobody likes a bragger.
When I’m investing time on the Internet, do you know what annoys me, just before I click and move on to another website? It’s when I begin viewing a video, reading an article, or blog post that talks about how the author’s company does this, or that, or how many years they’ve been in business.
Here’s the thing… who (other than the author) cares?
However, that doesn’t keep well intentioned marketing people attempting to apply what they think are social media strategies from ranting on about how great they are and driving away the very people they think they are going to engage.
When talking about online marketing, email marketing, video marketing, article marketing, and social media marketing your content better be focused on two things. Those two things are solving problems and sharing opportunities that will help the people you want to reach.
Quit talking about how great you think you are and start talking about things that can make your clients, friends and prospects great instead. You’ll be glad you did.

I’m guilty of this. And you’re right, no one cares about your awards and popularity. Show customers what you can do and they’ll see that you’re the best through your work. Good stuff, Mason.
I really enjoyed your post. I will come back to learn more.
Excellent read, I just passed this onto a colleague who was doing some research on that. And he actually bought me lunch because I found it for him smile Thus let me rephrase that: Thank you for lunch!
Thank you for your website! I really appreciate what you%u2019re posting here.
